Welcome to my slow living journal!! I decided to try to start living life slow after realizing how much I was rushing through without truly experiencing anything. I felt tired all the time and I was constantly multitasking and feeling like I had to keep up with everyone around me. I remember saying to my husband as we were going out to dinner-- "let's hurry up and have fun." I felt like we had to squeeze fun into our life. But one day, I caught myself barely remembering the week that had just passed, and it hit me-- I was missing my own life. I began to take intentional pauses. Slowing down was about being more present and choosing to spend my time doing things that brought me joy. I have started to notice a shift in my attention level and the ways I have been spending my time. I have been walking, reading, and spending time being present. I know it's a journey, but I feel like I am heading in the right direction. I hope you follow me on this journey!
